Does a great job.My only issues, is when pointing at objects really hot, like the electric heating element on my stove, or a fire.Seems this device locks up around 1071F. You'll have to remove the battery to reset it. I've done this a few times just to see if it was a fluke, or a real issue.Seems I've reached the upper limit. In real life, I don't need this device for anything approaching that heat. The device is accurate to within 1 degree, from what I can tell, and this is good enough for me.I would definitely recommend to anyone looking to purchase.
