(More customer reviews)Well, I figured with the name schumacher it should be excellent. However I am not impressed with this.

You input the CCA of the battery your testing then hit enter.

It gives you the voltage/CCA available of the battery and lets you know if it is "Good" or to "charge and retest" or "Good/Recharge return to service" or "Replace Battery"

I thought it would give a bit more information like a dead/bad cell

The instructions could have had bit more information, like what the voltage and CCA should be.

(More customer reviews)A good replacement to mercury sticks thereby avoiding blindness, insanity and eventual death from mercury poisoning, thats 5 stars already. The product works easily and well. I wish it would come stock with the individual carb barrel adaptor but it is an optional extra. Can be used to balance motorcycle carbs which often tune inner carb barrels to different specs than outer barrels. Very useful tool.

I couldn't believe how many leak point these gages had. The high and low knobs leaked, the gages leaked and the hoses would not seal off and leaked, never see anything so bad. Repaired a sealed system in a car. Would not hold a vac. I put in a trace charge and went over every connection and when I went over the gage set I couldn't believe it. Buy a different set.

(More customer reviews)This electronic freon leak detector works great. It's really easy to use and it can help you find the leak on your air conditioning system.

It has two sensitivity levels on it.

Level 1 detects R-134a (which is in most cars today since the 1990's), HP 62, AC 9000, AZ 20 and AZ 50

Level 2 detects R-12 (which is older cars prior to the 1990's), R-22, R-500, and R-502.

It has a visual leak indicator to show when refrigerant is detected and how concentrated it is

The goose-neck probe is 16 inches long which gives you plenty of reach if your looking for a leak in your engine bay.

The only downside to this freon detector is in the audible leak detector. While the detector is in use you will hear a steady ticking noise which can be controlled with the volume dial. But even with the volume all the way up it can be hard to hear if you are outside or if you are using the detector with your car running.

Overall this detector works great because It detects a wide variety of refrigerants. If your planning on fixing an a/c system yourself and you don't know where the leak is, this is the tool for you.
